Police seek suspect in Fourth of July fireworks store robbery

Police say a man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash in a robbery at Fireworks USA on South Nappanee Street.

ELKHART — Police are searching for a man who robbed an Elkhart fireworks store on the Fourth of July.

The man entered USA Fireworks at 2421 S. Nappanee St. just before 11 p.m. Friday, July 4, pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded “all the money,” said Lt. Peggy Snider of the Elkhart Police Department

The suspect, described as a black man about 6-feet tall with medium build, left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans, Snyder said.
