An Elkhart woman is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in Ohio Friday afternoon.

Nancy Schrock was travelling on a motorcycle on I-75 southbound near the Shelby-Miami county line with her husband Timothy Schrock Friday afternoon, June 27, when the crash happened, according to a report from the Dayton Daily News.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper's cruiser cam caught recorded the crash, which happened as the trooper was working an unrelated traffic stop.

OSHP Lt. Joseph Gebhart told the Dayton Daily News that the Schrocks were unable to stop as traffic in front of them slowed and were ejected from the motorcycle as he attempted to stop.

Neither rider was wearing a helmet, Gebhart said.

Nancy Schrock was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital. Timothy Schrock was also injured, but his injuries were not as severe, according to the Dayton Daily News.

The Schrocks had been traveling from Indiana to North Carolina to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary.
