South Bend boy reportedly stabbed brother in the head with screwdriver

Police reported to a stabbing in South Bend Friday morning, June 20, and found a 15-year-old boy stabbed in the back of the neck with a screwdriver.

A 15-year-old boy is in stable condition after his 13-year-old brother stabbed him in the head with a screwdriver, according to our reporting partners at WNDU.

Police responded to reports of a stabbing Friday morning, June 20, in the 1300 block of Liston Street, where they discovered a 15-year-old male stabbed in the back of the neck with a screwdriver, WNDU reports.

The victim’s 13-year-old brother was arrested, questioned and taken to the Juvenile Justice Center under a preliminary charge of battery, WNDU reports.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he’s in stable, non-life threatening condition. 

Witnesses said the brothers may have been fighting over an article of clothing, WNDU reports.
