The death of a 24-year-old Osceola woman has caught the attention of Nancy Grace.

Amanda Ezra was killed during a drunken driving incident in Osceola on Sunday morning, June 15, according to information from St. Joseph County court documents.

Ezra, a mother of three, was sitting in the lap of the front seat passenger with her head out the window, vomiting.

The driver, 23-year-old Kyle Papa, drove between a utility pole and the guide wire supporting the pole. Ezra’s head struck the wire and the side of the minivan. The report states the window on the van’s sliding door shattered when Ezra’s head hit it.

TV show host Nancy Grace started talking about the incident on social media Tuesday, June 17, using the hashtag #VomitMom.

Jason Moreno, of LaCasa Inc., has started a change.org petition asking for Grace to apologize for her posts. It had more than 120 supporters as of 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Do you think Nancy Grace’s tweets were too harsh? Was this appropriate?
