A lockdown at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Plymouth Campus and Bowen Center in Plymouth has been lifted, according to our reporting partners at WNDU.

Both facilities were placed on lockdown as a precaution Tuesday morning, June 17, after a threat was made to The Bowen Center staff, FOX 28 reports. The threat was later resolved, according to a news release from the hospital.

The hospital released the following statement just after 1:21 p.m. Tuesday:

"Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth has received a credible threat from the community. We are taking this threat seriously and are taking all necessary precautions to keep our patients, staff and visitors safe. All patients scheduled for tests and procedures are being asked to enter through the main entrance of the hospital."

The hospital sent a second statement at 1:44 p.m.:

"The threat to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth has been resolved. We have resumed normal operations. Please direct any further questions to the Plymouth Police Department."

The Plymouth Police Department declined to comment on the situation.
