Two people were hospitalized after a head-on crash in Cass County Monday evening.

Marsha Kennedy, 53, of Niles was driving a Jeep Wrangler on M-60 around 6:20 p.m. Monday, June 9, when she failed to yield to westbound traffic while turning left onto U.S. Highway 12 eastbound, according to a news release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

Her vehicle was struck by a westbound Dodge Caravan driven by Richard Flora, 70, of Niles.

Flora and his passenger, 70-year-old Ann Flora, were transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for treatment. Kennedy was treated and released at the scene.

Seatbelts were worn by all parties and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash, according to the news release.
