All flowers stolen from Oak Ridge Cemetery days after Memorial Day

Days after Memorial Day, mementos left on graves in Bristol went missing. A $500 reward has been offered for information that helps solve the crime.

The Bristol Police Department is asking for the public’s help to solve a series of thefts from Oak Ridge Cemetery.

According to a police report, the sexton of the cemetery told police on Friday, May 30, that someone had stolen “all of the flower pots, flowers and other miscellaneous items” from the cemetery.

Anyone who has experienced a theft of flowers, baskets or other items from graves in the cemetery is asked to call Sexton Dave Love at 574-320-8600 or the Bristol Police Department at 574-848-4464 and reference case number 14BPD162.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or people involved in the thefts. Tips can be submitted by phone at 574-848-4464, emailed to bristolpd@bristolpolice.org, through the department’s Facebook page or anonymously at bristolpolice.org.
