ELKHART — The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man facing several charges in connection to a home invasion

Terron Roby, 20, is charged with robbery while armed with a deadly weapon, burglary and criminal confinement. He is accused of breaking into an apartment in the city’s south side Dec. 6. 2013.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed in the case, two men forced their way into an apartment in the 900 block of Bontrager Avenue when one of the victims opened the door to let a friend in.

One of the men grabbed a bottle and struck one of the victims on the head, while the other confined the victims to the living room. While everyone stayed in the living room, the two men took turns watching them while the other looked for items to steal.

They took a wallet, a cell phone, jewelry, medication and money from one of the victims. At some point they let two of the victims go.

One of the victims identified the suspects as Terron Roby and Willie Jenkins. Police found Roby’s Facebook profile page, on which a picture of a silver semi-automatic handgun with a wooden handle had been posted. The victims had identified the gun before police found the picture.

Jenkins was arrested in January following an investigation. Charges were filed against Roby in March. Anyone with information leading to Roby’s arrest can reach the sheriff’s department’s detective bureau by calling 574-891-2300.
