One dead in St. Joseph County, Mich., Memorial Day crash

A Kalamazoo man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in St. Joseph County, Mich., on Memorial Day.

A Kalamazoo man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in St. Joseph County, Mich., on Memorial Day.

According to a news release from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, 56-year-old David Bruce Hunt was driving north on Carlton Road between Bliss and Flowerfield roads in Flowerfield Township around 3:30 a.m. Monday, May 26, when his vehicle drifted off the road, hit a rock and flipped several times.

Hunt was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and police do not know if alcohol was a factor, the news release said.
