48 reported arrested in Elkhart County from May 9 to May 16

Preliminary charges include public intoxication, shoplifting and operating while intoxicated.

This list of arrests was compiled from information sent by the Elkhart Police Department, Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department and Goshen Police Department on May 9 - May 16, 2014. All charges are preliminary and individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. It is the policy and practice of The Elkhart Truth to provide the name of individuals arrested on preliminary charges involving drugs, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and all felonies. All efforts are made to ensure accuracy of the information provided and to protect the identities of the victims. 

ELKHART

William Fairbee, 55, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft in the 1300 block of West Indiana Avenue May 9. 

A 38-year-old Elkhart woman was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle without a license in the 1800 block of Benham Avenue May 9. 

A 40-year-old Elkhart man was arrested on preliminary charges of invasion of privacy and criminal recklessness in the 400 block of Emerson Drive May 10. 

Tory J. Terry, 35, Chicago, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement in the 400 block of Middlebury Street May 10. 

Melvin C. Dent Jr., 34, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of attempted murder in the 100 block of Easy Shopping Place May 10.

An 18-year-old Elkhart man was arrested on a preliminary charge of illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage in the 600 block of West Lexington Avenue May 10.

A 24-year-old Elkhart man was arrested on a preliminary chage of public intoxication in the 500 block of Sherman Street May 11. 

Apulello G. Cervantes, 21, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in the 100 block of Waterfall Drive May 11. 

Ronnie D. Burdin, 28, Elkhart, was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation in th 2800 block of Cassopolis Street May 11. 

A 28-year old Elkhart woman was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery in the 2800 block of Cassopolis Street May 11. 

A 40-year-old Goshen man was arrested on a preliminary charge of invasion of privacy at Franklin and Bridge streets May 11. 

Abigail M. Thomas, 19, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft in the 100 block of C.R. 6 West May 11. 

John F. Ingle, 54, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in the 1600 block of West Lexington Avenue May 11. 

Steven A. Bonds Jr., 21, was arrested on a preliminary charge of robbery in the 100 block of Waterfall Drive May 12. 

An 18-year-old Elkhart man was arrested on a preliminary charge of resisting law enforcement in the 30000 block of Old U.S. 33 May 12. 

Robert D. Tirotta, 52, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in the 700 block of South Main Street May 12. 

Eric A. Bowman, 38, Elkhart, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia in the 700 block of Orchard Street May 12. 

Yshuki Fernandez, 19, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft in the 3100 block of Northview Drive May 13. 

Samuel Rodriguez-Fernandez, 22, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft in the 3100 block of Northview Drive May 13. 

An 18-year-old Elkhart man was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery in the 600 block of West Marion Street May 13. 

Taylor M. Northrop, 20, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft in the 1200 block of North Nappanee Street May 13.

Sarah E. Doss, 33, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator in the 800 block of Madison Street May 12. 

Patrick K. Talley, 22, Cleveland, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana in the 1500 block of South 10th Street May 12. 

Michael A. Barajas, 23, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft at 601 E Windsor Ave. May 14. 

Joseph R. Raeder, 22. of 3 St. Joseph Manor, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated at the intersection of Prairie Street and Main Street May 15.

Kara A. Bohner, 21, of 57 Brookside Manor, Goshen, was arrested on a preliminary charge of shoplifting at 3101 Northview Drive May 15.

Zachary Bonds, 38, of 500 Middlebury St., Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery in presence of a minor at 500 Middlebury St. May 15.

Christopher H. Wagner, 32, of 228 Manor Ave., Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness with a cutting instrument at 228 Manor Ave. May 15. 

 

GOSHEN

A 22-year-old South Bend man was arrested on a preliminary charge of false informing in the 400 block of West Pike Street May 13.

A 58-year-old Elkhart man was arrested on a preliminary charge of public intoxication in the 200 block of Chicago Avenue May 9.

Jason C. Hummer, 37, Goshen,  was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery in front of a child, resisting law enforcement, interference with the reporting of a crime, strangulation and intimidation in the 400 block of Westwood Drive May 9.

Amy N. Hummer, 34, Goshen, was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery in front of a child in the 400 block of Westwood Drive May 9.

A 67-year-old South Bend man was arrested on a preliminary charge of false informing in the 1800 block of Elkhart Road May 10. 

A 50-year-old Goshen man was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery, criminal confinement and interfering with the reporting of a crime in the 100 block of Roxbury May 10.

Jeremy R. Bernstein, 42,  Goshen, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in the 1700 block of Lincolnway East May 11. 

Anthony Davis, 54, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator at Crescent Street and Cottage Avenue May 13. 

Manuel Toto, 36, Fort Madison, Iowa, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury and operating a vehicle without a license in the 2100 block of Rieth Boulevard May 15.  

 

ELKHART COUNTY

A 24-year-old Elkhart woman was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery in the 27000 block of Woodard Lane May 12. 

Rhonda L. Posey, 53, Elkhart, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident at S.R. 19 and C.R. May 9.

Larry A. Stanton. 43. Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at C.R. 17 and C.R. 20 May 9. 

Natasha A. Seal, 25, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at C.R. 111 and Minuteman Avenue May 10. 

Steven C. Hardy, 47, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator at U.S. 33 and Douglas Street May 10. 

Quillon G. Sweet, 34. Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at S.R. 19 and Webster Street May 10.

Jesus Lugo, 29, South Bend, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at Ash Road and Jefferson Road May 10.

A 21-year-old Elkhart man was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle without a license and altered interim plate at C.R. 9 and Bristol Street May 10. 

Ronald E. Bankson, 51, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at Lakeland Drive and C.R. 4 May 10. 

Dora A. Montano, 41, Goshen, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and neglect of a dependent at  U.S. 33 and Dushane Avenue May 10. 

Jason H. Singleton, 26, Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at C.R. 9 and C.R. 6 May 11.
