GOSHEN — William Hess, a former Foraker firefighter facing multiple child sex charges, is still scheduled to go to court June 2.
Hess' trial status conference was held Thursday morning, May 8, in Elkhart Circuit Court. A hearing was scheduled for May 22 at 12:30 p.m., according to court files.
Hess, 57, of Goshen, was initially charged in 2010 and faces multiple charges including child molesting, sexual misconduct with a minor and child solicitation.
The allegations were made by a boy, then in his early teens, in the summer of 2010, according to the probable cause affidavit in Hess' case. The boy's testimony led police to two other victims later in 2010 and in 2011.
The family of one of the victims also filed a lawsuit against Hess in Superior Court 3. The case is pending, according to court files.
