Elkhart County Sheriff's Department to hold community policing meetings next week

Elkhart County residents will have a chance to meet with Elkhart County Sheriff's Deputies who patrol their neighborhoods at a series of community policing meetings next week.

Officers from the department's detective bureau and patrol division will meet with residents to discuss their concerns and issues in the area. 

The meetings are part of the departments crime reduction and community policing problem. 

Another series of meetings is planned for the week of Oct. 20. 


Monday, May 12

Washington Township: 5 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 53013 C.R. 19

Concord Township: 6:30 p.m. at Concord High School, 59117 Minuteman Way (Use media center door 1)

Jackson and Benton townships: 6:30 p.m. at Fairfield High School's administration building, 67240 C.R. 31


Tuesday, May 13

Olive, Harrison, Locke and Union townships: 7 p.m. at the Harrison Township Fire Department, 63061 C.R. 13


Wednesday, May 14

Baugo Township: 6 p.m. at the Baugo Township Fire Department, 57955 C.R. 3

Jefferson and Middlebury townships: 6:30 p.m. at the Northridge High School auditorium, 56779 Northridge Drive


Thursday, May 15

Cleveland Township: 5:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Fire Department-North, 51233 C.R. 5

Osolo Township: 5:30 p.m. at the Osolo Fire Department, 24936 Buddy Ave.

York Township: 6 p.m. at York Township Elementary, 13549 S.R. 120


Friday, May 16

Elkhart and Clinton townships: 5:30 p.m. at Brennemen Memorial Church, 61115 S.R. 15
