Elkhart police ask public's assistance to identify shoplifting suspect

The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a man who stole a number of items from Martin's Super Market last week.

ELKHART — The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a man who stole a number of items from Martin's Super Market last week.

According to a news release, the man entered the Martin's Super Market at 555 E. Jackson Blvd. on April 23 and walked through the store, placing items in his shopping cart. He then left the store, passing all cashiers without paying. He fled when confronted by security personnel outside the store.

Anyone who knows the suspect's identity is asked to call Det. Steve Mock at 574-389-4732.
