A Bristol man was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital by MedFlight Sunday afternoon after he was ejected from his motorcycle in a three-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on C.R. 2 north of the Indiana Toll Road on Sunday afternoon, April 20.

Dale Greensides, 32, suffered life-threatening head injuries in the crash.

Greensides was riding his motorcycle traveling east on C.R. 2 west of S.R. 13. Sasha Lindwedel, 23, of Elkhart, was driving a car west on C.R. 2 when she turned left into a private driveway around 12:34 p.m., the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department said in a press release.

Greensides' motorcycle collided with Lindwedel's vehicle and he was ejected from the motorcycle, the press release said. Lindwedel's car then spun and struck a third vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied.

Greensides was not wearing a helmet, according to the press release. Lindwedel was not injured.

The sheriff's department said no citations were issued at the scene of the crash, but the Elkhart County Crash Investigation Team is investigating.

The original version of this story incorrectly stated which vehicle spun and struck the parked and unoccupied vehicle. It has been updated and is now correct.
