Elkhart men arrested on preliminary charges of robbery, burglary
ELKHART — Police arrested two men on preliminary charges of burglary and robbery in connection with a home invasion Saturday, April 12, on the southeast side of Elkhart.
According to a press release from the Elkhart Police Department, Devon Davis,18, and Marquise Curry, 23, were arrested Monday on the preliminary charges.
Police responded at about 5:05 a.m. to 20 East Apartments for reports of a home invasion.
According to the victims of the home invasion, at least one of the men was carrying a handgun, and they both threatened to kill them if they didn't give them money.
After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the men fled the scene. No one was injured as a result of the home invasion.
Shortly after their response to the scene, officers made a traffic stop for unrelated warrants on Davis and Curry. The men were booked in the Elkhart County jail on their warrants.
Following an investigation, police found the two men matched the description of the suspects involved in the home invasion.
