A Mishawaka High School employee and part-time baseball coach at Holy Cross College was formally charged Friday with one count of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Ryan Mouch, 25, is accused of "submitting to deviate sexual conduct with a child who was 15 years of age," according to a news release from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office. Mouch told officials he'd been working at Mishawaka High School since August of 2013.

The prosecutor's office also wrote that they "found probable cause" and an affidavit said the victim was a student at Mishawaka High School who requested math tutoring from Mouch.

Mouch was suspended without pay earlier in the week from both the School City of Mishawaka and Holy Cross College

"The two exchanged phone numbers to schedule tutoring sessions" but the communications quickly became sexual in nature, according to the affidavit, written by Thomas Sanders, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 60th Judicial Circuit. The victim told officials that on March 17, Mouch picked her up in his white Pontiac for a scheduled tutoring appointment, but Mouch then drove to a nearby park and sexually assaulted her.

Sexual misconduct with a minor is a Class B felony. Mouch's bond was set at $50,000. As of Friday afternoon, he remained at the St. Joseph County Jail.
