Missing Dowagiac woman
A search party continues this afternoon for a woman who police say may be in danger after witnesses reported seeing her pulled into the woods by a man near a dentist's office in Dowagiac, Mich.
Witnesses said they heard the woman screaming for help.
Steven Grinnewald, director of public safety for the Dowagiac Police Department, said police received a tip at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, that witnesses saw the incident happen on the 500 block of Riverside Drive, WSBT reported. The man may have had a gun.
Police have been searching the area for the suspect, who is described as a white man with brown hair wearing blue jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt that had writing on it.
The victim is described as a white woman with straight shoulder-length blonde hair wearing a pink zip-up sweater or sweatshirt.
No other information is known about the suspect or victim. The Dowagiac Police Department said in a press release that they had received no reports of missing persons as of Thursday morning.
The Dowagiac Police Department has investigators looking for the suspect and victim. They are also following up on tips, WSBT reported.
