GOSHEN — A man found inside a car on fire remains in the hospital as police and fire officials continue to investigate the incident.
The Goshen Fire Department responded to reports of a car fire March 19. While battling the flames, firefighters found William Tully in the back seat of his vehicle, a blue two-door Scion.
Tully was airlifted to the St. Joseph Hospital's Burn Center in Fort Wayne.
According to a hospital representative, Tully is in critical but stable condition.
The Goshen police and fire departments continue to investigate the case, but with Tully unable to talk for the time being, the investigation could take longer, according to Goshen Fire Investigator Mike Happer.
Neither the police department nor the fire department can provide any new information about the incident because it's still an active investigation.
