A police chase that ended with the suspect's vehicle crashing into a South Bend house may have started with the theft of candy bars from a gas station.

Police tried to pull over a man in his mid-50s after they received a call that he may have stolen several candy bars from a BP gas station on S.R. 933, The Elkhart Truth's news partner WNDU reported.

The man wouldn't stop, and police followed the man until he crashed into a house in the 51900 block of Hollyhock Road.
