GOSHEN — After being found in a burning car two days ago, a man remains in critical condition at a Fort Wayne hospital.

William Tully was found in the backseat of his blue two-door Scion at the Linway Plaza parking lot while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire Wednesday afternoon, March 19.

He was airlifted to the St. Joseph Hospital's burn center.

Mike Happer, a fire investigator with the Goshen Fire Department, said he cannot comment on the investigation and he cannot say whether the fire department thinks foul play is suspected.

Happer said the investigation will take about another week to complete.

The Goshen Police Department said in an email Friday that it is actively investigating the incident, but there is no further information available to the public.
