Woman injured in crash between snow plow and dump truck

The crash happened on S.R. 120 near Middlebury on March 12.

MIDDLEBURY — One person was injured when a dump truck and plow truck crashed west of Middlebury Wednesday afternoon, March 12.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, a plow truck driven by Debra Easton, 57, of Howe, was headed east on S.R. 120 east of C.R. 35 and crossed the center line while plowing snow.

The plow truck struck a westbound dump truck driven by 58-year-old James Geairn of Elkhart, causing the dump truck to lose debris and slide.

Some of the flying debris struck two vehicles driving behind the two trucks.

Easton was taken to LaGrange Hospital for treatment of neck pain.

No citations were issued.
