A suspicious person dressed as a Comcast employee was reported to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday morning after he was seen in the Amber Meadows Community.

The Sheriff's Department's Facebook page says the person was described as a man in his 60s with glasses. He was wearing a black hat with red "Xfinity" lettering and a jacket with the word "Comcast" on it, but the logo didn't seem to match typical logo used by the cable and internet provider.

The man approached a resident's house and claimed he was with Comcast and that the company would be working on maintenance upgrades for 2-3 weeks. Comcast, the facebook post says, was not aware of any maintenance or upgrades going on in the Amber Meadows Community, located on C.R. 22 between Zollinger Road and C.R. 28 in Goshen.

They also said their employees don't conduct their jobs in the manner that the suspect did.

The ECSD is attempting to identify this individual and is asking the community to help. If you see this suspicious person or suspect a please contact the ECSD Dispatch by dialing 574-533-4151.
