ELKHART — The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department has concluded its investigation on a NorthWood High School teacher accused of engaging in inappropriate conduct with a student.

Ed Windbigler, spokesman for the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office, said the office received the investigation about Brooke Wilson on Monday, March 3.

The investigation will be assigned to a deputy prosecutor to review, Windbigler said.

Wilson, a former Spanish teacher at NorthWood High School, was fired Oct. 14, 2013, following allegations that pointed to inappropriate conduct with a male high school student.

Wa-Nee Schools Superintendent Joe Sabo said Wilson was suspended Sept. 25, 2013, after the school corporation heard about the allegations.

Wilson started working for the Wa-Nee Community School Corporation in 2012.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department confirmed in October that detectives were investigating the allegations.
