Woman, two dogs dead after car vs. train crash in South Bend

A 60-year-old woman and two dogs died after a train collided with a vehicle in South Bend early Sunday morning.

Lt. Matt Blank with the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department told The Elkhart Truth's news partners WNDU that the driver of the passenger car drove around a downed crossing arm as the train approached the intersection of Quince and Edison roads in South Bend.
