Eastbound lanes of the U.S. 20 Bypass are now reopened after multiple crashes caused closures near Elm Road Thursday morning.

The St. Joseph County 911 dispatch confirmed at least 6 vehicles are involved in crashes in that area -- no serious injuries were reported.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department posted a video to its facebook page asking drivers to drive slowly and avoid the Bypass if possible.

Several other reports of crashes -- particularly slide-offs and drivers hitting medians -- are still being reported to various agencies.

Most of Michiana is under a winter weather advisory until 5 p.m. Temperatures could dip between -10 and -20 degrees throughout the day.
