Sunday's shooting suspect identified
A beer pong game turned deadly after one man was shot dead on Pulaski Street.
SOUTH BEND — Following the shooting death of a Mishawaka man, a charge of felony murder has been filed against Jacob Saye, our news partner WNDU reported.
Saye told investigators 21-year-old Christopher White died when a beer pong game morphed into a round of Russian roulette played with a semi-automatic handgun.
"Saye further admitted to investigators that at the conclusion of the game, he placed a handgun against Christopher White's temple and pulled the trigger," the charging documents said.
White was found dead around 1:30 a.m. on the basement floor of a home in the 1800-block of Pulaski Street, where the incident occurred. At least three other people were reported to be in the house at the time of the shooting, which the South Bend Police Department responded to.
Neighbors say that the block is safe, and they have not had something like this happen before.
