Elkhart Police, SRT arrest five in connection with drug investigation

The Special Response (SWAT) Team assisted the Elkhart Police Department in serving a search warrant northeast of downtown Elkhart.

ELKHART — Police arrested four men and a woman during a search warrant northeast of downtown Elkhart Thursday night, Feb. 6.

According to a press release from the Elkhart Police Department, a drug investigation led police to 138 N. Sixth St. Units from the Special Response team assisted police in serving the warrant.

Police arrested D'Andre Goodwin Jr., 22, on five preliminary charges of dealing in cocaine, and Devon Goodwin, 20, on a noise ordinance warrant. Police also arrested Paris Banks, 21; Ishmael Porter, 20; and Robert Goodwin, 20, on preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance.

The woman and four men were booked at the Elkhart County Jail. Devon Goodwin is being held on a $332 bond. The four are being held without a bond.
