Police investigating armed robbery of Goshen sporting goods store

GOSHEN — The Goshen Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of a sporting goods store, which occurred on Saturday, Dec. 14.

According to a news release from the department, three masked men entered MC Sports in the Elkhart Market Center off of Elkhart Road. The men ordered all 11 people present to the ground and bound them with cable ties before robbing the business. Officers were alerted to the incident at 8:12 p.m.

No one was injured during the robbery, the release said.

Prior to officers' arrival, the suspects fled the scene in a Dodge Neon. A car matching the vehicle's description was found at Maple Court Apartments in Goshen. Police have collected evidence and spoken with witnesses at the apartment complex, the release said.
