Sunday will mark seven years since Len Carruthers was fatally shot outside his apartment building in Elkhart, according to a news release from Michiana Crime Stoppers.

On Nov. 26, 2007, Carruthers was near his apartment building on 920 Portage Lane in Elkhart when a man approached him and shot him from behind with a revolver. Carruthers died from the gunshot wound a short time later but no suspect has ever been arrested.

Carruthers was believed to have been involved in a nightclub altercation in Goshen early that morning. Authorities say it's possible the two events are related.

Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your information leads to an arrest. Rewards can still be delivered to anonymous tips.
