Michigan man charged with OWI after driving into tree

The man hit a tree after losing control of his vehicle

THREE RIVERS, Mich. — A Marcellus man was charged with operating while intoxicated on Saturday, Nov. 9, after he crashed into a tree near Three Rivers.

Christopher Laughlin, 25, was driving his vehicle when he lost control of it, crossed the center line and crashed into a tree near Hoffman and Day roads, according to a press release from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.

Laughlin was taken to a hospital in Three Rivers, where his blood alcohol level was tested.
