PIERCETON -- A 51-year-old Pierceton man was arrested Tuesday morning after an Indiana State Police Officer reported that he saw the man flashing a handgun while driving on U.S. 30, notes a news release from the Indiana State Excise Police.
Dale Riley was driving east when he merged his Toyota Corolla into another lane. The officer driving an unmarked police vehicle behind Riley had to "brake in order to avoid collision," the release notes. The officer reported that Riley "raised his arms in an angry manner," and "raise a handgun and point it to the roof of his car in an angry manner two or three times."
The officer reported that Riley was loading a round into the handgun. Officers stopped Riley and found a Skyy 9mm handgun, a Bushnell radar gun, which can measure a car's speed, and an in-car video camera.
Riley was taken to the Allen County Jail. His first court date is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
