GOSHEN — A 54-year-old Elkhart woman was taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital after a crash that occurred on U.S. 33 north of Ferndale Road, about a mile north of Goshen Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 15.

Frances Troyer complained of chest pain after the crash, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Troyer was driving north on U.S. 33 and slowed for a vehicle turning west in front of her vehicle. Police said Jazmin Harper, 17, of Elkhart, was driving behind her and was unable to stop in time, and then collided with the back of Troyer’s vehicle.
