An Elkhart man remains hospitalized in critical condition at Parkview North Hospital after his motorcycle crashed into a truck on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Thomas Frost, 45, was airlifted to Parkview after the crash at S.R. 15 and C.R. 42, just south of Goshen, with leg fractures and a head injury, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Hospital staff said on Friday, Oct. 11, that Frost was still in critical condition.

Frost was driving north on S.R. 15 around 9:35 p.m. when a truck driven by Spencer M. Erb, 22, of New Paris turned south onto S.R. 15 from C.R. 42 in front of Frost.

Frost, who had the right of way, crashed into Erb’s truck, according to police.

No citations were issued at the scene, but the crash remains under investigation by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department’s crash investigation team.
