WAKARUSA — A Wakarusa man was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries after his Jeep crashed a couple miles north of Wakarusa Friday afternoon, Oct. 4.
Ronald Haas, 41, was pulling a trailer south on S.R. 19 north of C.R. 32 at approximately 3 p.m., according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. The load shifted, causing Haas’s vehicle to jack knife and then drive off the west side of S.R. 19 into an embankment.
Haas was taken to the hospital to be treated for back pain. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
