GOSHEN — Multiple people were taken to the hospital this weekend with minor injuries after a head-on collision just outside of Goshen, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

An SUV driven by Heather Morales, 38, of Mishawaka, was headed west on C.R. 36 around 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, and crashed into a car driven by 23-year-old Marissa Kreiner of Goshen, who was going north on C.R. 19. Morales thought the intersection was a four-way stop and was cited for failure to yield right of way, Patrolman Matthew Walsh said.

Four people were injured in the crash. Kreiner, Morales and her three passengers — 11-year-old Jordyn Mora, 11-year-old Mikayla Morales and 72-year-old Thyra Hapeman — were taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital for treatment, according to the sheriff’s department.
