Elkhart police looking for suspects in robbery

    The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public's help in solving a robbery that happened Sept. 7.

    ELKHART — The Elkhart Police Department is asking for help in finding two suspects involved in a robbery in the west side of the city.

    According to a press release from the police department, the robbery happened Sept. 7 sometime between 11:30 p.m. and midnight at a Marathon Gas Station, 1589 W. Franklin St.

    According to the press release, two men entered the store and places several items into a backpack. When the clerk confrented the men they hit him and left from the store on foot.

    Det. Carl Conway is investigating the case. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Conway at 574-389-4709.
