NEW PARIS — A driver was cited for following too closely after rear-ending another car at S.R. 15 and Industrial Drive in New Paris Wednesday morning, Aug. 28.

Ashley Yoder, 26, of Bremen, was driving north on S.R. 15 behind another vehicle driven by Armando Vallin, 48, of Warsaw, at approximately 7:12 a.m., according to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. Vallin stopped at the intersection to turn left after traffic cleared and Yoder crashed into the back of Vallin’s truck.

Yoder received bruising to her right arm, but was not taken to a hospital. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
