Baugo Township motorcycle crash sends two to the hospital

A man and a woman were transported to Elkhart General Hospital following a crash in Baugo Township Saturday, Aug. 24.

According to Elkhart County Sheriff Deputy Jeremy Overmyer, Walter Grimes, 67, of Lagrange, was traveling west on C.R. 20 at around 4:30 p.m. when a car pulled out in front of him from Kreighbaum Street. Grimes maneuvered to avoid the car and slid the bike on its side.

Grimes and his female passenger, Donna Grimes, 65, were taken to the hospital for non-incapacitating complaints of pain to the knees, arms, head and back, according to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
