The Elkhart County Traffic Safety Partnership will conduct a high-visibility DUI enforcement zone this weekend in Elkhart to catch intoxicated drivers.
The enforcement zone will be on the north side of Elkhart on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., according to a news release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
This is the second enforcement zone conducted as part of the nationwide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign which runs through Labor Day, Sept. 2. The first enforcement zone was conducted on Saturday, Aug. 17, in the Goshen area.
The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign also includes the use of saturation patrols and other methods to catch intoxicated drivers.
