GOSHEN —Police issued a Goshen man a warning for traveling at an unsafe speed after a two-vehicle crash on S.R. 15 Monday afternoon.
Jessie Hollis, 65, was traveling his SUV south on S.R. 15 at approximately 4:28 p.m. when a vehicle traveling northbound struck a utility pole on the east side of the road and traveled left of center, according to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. Hollis stopped abruptly to avoid colliding with the vehicle, but was struck by a SUV traveling directly behind him, driven by 28-year-old Yajarira Estrada of Goshen.
Estrada’s SUV sustained heavy front end damage and she complained of neck pain, but was not taken to a hospital, according to the press release. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
