Goshen man airlifted to hospital after head-on collision with tree

GOSHEN — A Goshen man was injured on C.R. 7 after he drove his car into a cornfield, re-entered the road and hit a tree.

Michael Snook, 56, of Goshen, was traveling north on C.R. 7 south of C.R. 50 around 12:10 p.m. on Friday, July 26, according to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

He left C.R. 7 on the east side of the roadway, drove into a corn field and then re-entered C.R. 7 traveling south. He then left C.R. 7 on the west side of the road and hit a tree head on.

Snook was airlifted from the scene due to injuries to his face and chest. He was wearing a seat belt.
