Union house sustains moderate damage in Saturday afternoon fire

    UNION, Mich. – A house avoided major damage Saturday afternoon after the attached garage caught fire.

    According to a release from the Southeast Public Safety Authority, firefighters responded to a call at the house in the 70000 block of Hollywood Shores Drive at 12:24 p.m.

    Upon arriving, fire crews found the garage fully engulfed and saw that the fire was beginning to spread to the house.

    Osolo, Bristol, Edwardsburg, Newburg and Penn Township fire crews assisted SEPSA firefighters to get the blaze under control within about 15 minutes. According to the release, the house sustained moderate damage.

    No one was injured in the fire.
