ELKHART — A man was taken to the hospital following an accident just east of Elkhart Wednesday afternoon, July 24.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department and Bristol Police were dispatched at about 2 p.m. to the intersection of S.R. 120 and Michael Drive to a two-vehicle accident.
According to Shannon Stanfill, deputy of the sheriff’s department, a woman driving a gray passenger car was driving north on Michael Drive and stopped at the intersection. She started to turn left to go west on to S.R. 120 when a motorcycle going east struck her vehicle.
The man riding the motorcycle was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with some abrasions, said Stanfill. The woman in the passenger car was not injured. Both vehicles had minor damage from the impact.
Traffic moved slowly along S.R. 120 while police cleared the scene.
