Two young boys from Cromwell suffered head injuries when the vehicle they were passengers in went airborne and hit a tree Saturday afternoon, July 13, south of Goshen.
Joshua Reynolds, 24, of Ligonier was traveling north on U.S. 33 north of C.R. 33 at 2:46 p.m. when he drove left of center and went off the west side of the road, according to a release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. Once off the road, Reynolds’ SUV went into the air and hit a tree.
Trevin Reynolds, 1, and Ethan Geller, 2, both of Cromwell, suffered head injuries and were airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Joshua Reynolds was taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital with shoulder pain. He was cited for driving left of center, according to the release.
All three were wearing seat beats.
The Elkhart County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team is investigating the crash.
