ELKHART — Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday evening after two personal watercrafts collided on Simonton Lake.

Osolo EMTs were called to a home on the lake at 51311 Maplewood Drive at 8:41 p.m. Wednesday, July 10.

Anthony Simons, 25, of Osceola, said he and two of his cousins were riding their personal watercrafts on the lake and had come to a stop.

“We started to go again and both turned in the same direction,” Simons said.

They collided and one watercraft went on top of the other, he said.

A 24-year-old male appeared to have suffered a punctured lung, and a 27-year-old had complaints of back pain, Simons said.

Simons declined to name the injured people.
