MIDDLEBURY — An Elkhart man was hurt Wednesday, July 3, when a motorcycle stunt went wrong.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department officers said Miguel Nunez, 28, was traveling west on U.S. 20 east of S.R. 15 at 8:36 p.m. Police said Nunez attempted to do a wheelie with his 2001 Yamaha FZS when the throttle locked. Nunez lost control of the bike and fell off. The motorcycle went into a drainage ditch in a field on the north side of U.S. 20.

Nunez was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with scrapes on his arms, legs and back.
