Woman taken to hospital after two-car crash Friday morning

A 66-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after complaining of back pain from the crash.

WAKARUSA — A 66-year-old woman was taken to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for back pain after a two-car crash at C.R. 40 and C.R. 7 near Wakarusa Friday morning, June 28.

Thelma Jackson, 61, of Elkhart, was stopped southbound on C.R. 7 at the intersection of C.R. 40 at approximately 11:31 a.m. Friday. She proceeded through the intersection, colliding with a vehicle driven by Jose Galeano, 21, of Goshen, according to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Mamie Harris, a passenger in Jackson’s vehicle, was taken to EGH on a complaint of back pain. Jackson was cited for failure to yield right of way.
