MIDDLEBURY — Two vehicles were towed after a crash near the Middlebury city limits Friday morning, June 28.

Nathan Hooley, 27, of Elkhart, was driving south on C.R. 27 when he turned eastbound onto U.S. Highway 20 around 4:30 a.m. Friday, according to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. During the turn, the driver’s side front corner struck the passenger’s side front door of a vehicle driven by Stephen Yoder, 18, of Cromwell. Yoder’s vehicle entered the ditch on the south side of the roadway.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the crash. Hooley complained of pain to his right rest and Yoder sustained a small cut on his forehead. Neither driver were taken to the hospital.

Hooley was cited for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection.
