GOSHEN — An Elkhart man was taken to the hospital Wednesday after a one-vehicle crash west of Goshen.
John Freshour, 43, was driving his Ford F150 truck southbound on C.R. 17 north of S.R. 119 at 2:57 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, and was not paying attention when his vehicle went off the side of the roadway, according to a news release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
Freshour then overcorrected, and the truck struck a barrier separating north- and southbound traffic on C.R. 17.
His vehicle suffered heavy front-end damage, and he was transported to IU Health Goshen with pain in his chest.
Freshour was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
