ELKHART — A 23-year-old Osceola man died early Tuesday morning, June 11, after his vehicle collided with a semi truck in Illinois.

According to reports from CBS Chicago, Michael Gruse was driving his 2004 Dodge Ram northbound on Interstate 55 near Channahon, Ill., a village southwest of Chicago, at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, when his truck struck a semi in front of him.

He had recently relocated to Palos Heights, Ill., to be with his fiancee, Kelly Ladewig, in preparation for their wedding.
